BREAKING: 541611 and other NAICS Size Standards On the Rise

December 2, 2022 - Back in June, we shared the exciting news that many of the NAICS codes size standards were increased. This was most notably for 541611 (Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services) going to $21.5M. 

In light of the unusual inflation occurring, the SBA has decided to make further adjustments to size standards and issue an interim final rule increasing size standards. Here's the high-level break down of some common professional services NAICS in the 8(a) space and the impact that takes effect as of December 19, 2022: 

  • 541511, Custom Computer Programming Services increased to $34M

  • 541513, Computer Facilities Management Services increased to $37M

  • 541611, Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services increased to $24.5M

  • 541612, Human Resources Consulting Services increased to $29M

  • 541614, Process, Physical Distribution, and Logistics Consulting Services increased to $20M

  • 541810, Advertising Agencies increased to $25.5M

  • 541930, Translation and Interpretation Services increased to $22.5M

  • 541990, All Other Professional Scientific and Technical Services increased to $19.5M

  • 561110, Office Administrative Services increased to $12.5M

  • 561499, All Other Business Support Services increased to $21.5M

  • 561612, Security Guards and Patrol Services increased to $29M

This has an impact for all businesses regardless of size. 

  • For small 8(a) businesses, it allows a longer runway to remain small. 

  • For recently sized out 8(a) businesses, this might result in you being a small business again (making you eligible to compete as a small business)
